As an adult, I find it very difficult to sit in one place without wanting to move around. That being said, I definitely think children need opportunities for movement! Students spend a large portion of the day sitting at desks. I am hoping to give each student the opportunity to have a band attached to his/her desk. This band offers the opportunity to move around without disrupting other students. The special stools will be located around the "teacher table" giving the students the opportunity to wiggle just a bit while working in a small group. I look forward to seeing my kids wiggle and learn.
