We are a small rural school in an agriculture community. The district shares one computer lab and students do not receive any computer science instruction! That is why I attended training with code.org and want to bring my science students into the 21st Century with computer science exposure. Science can be real and relevant with technology! These 5 chromebooks will get my classroom set started and allow me to teach these students to code using java script, html, and more! They will be making websites, apps, games! Jr. High is a crucial time to interest kids in STEM careers. We can do this with coding!
