Reading centers occur daily in my classroom. My students love to learn through hands on opportunities. By being able to give my students white boards that are magnetic, they will be able to manipulate magnetic letters to identify letter sounds and build sight words. Using these materials will assist my students with the following reading standards, RF.1, RF.2, RF.3, RF.4.
Headphones are the key to a quiet classroom while students are learning through online programs. The purchase of these items will not only help students who are learning online but also those in small reading, math, writing centers.
Hands on math materials will help students with basic addition, subtraction and shape recognition. The standards of K.O.A, K.G.A will be covered by my students using math centers, addition and subtraction flashcards and block to create pictures.
Writing paper and pencils will help my students become independent writers. Students will also use magnetic letters, pocket charts and spelling games to explore the wonderful world of writing. The standards of W.K.1-3 and W.K.4-6 will be met by providing my students opportunities to print and publish their writing projects.
