Some of my students face struggles such as poverty, English Language Learners and other needs related to additional academic and social skills supports. The literacy and thinking stem charts as well as the social emotional learning posters will help provide essential positive motivation and educational supports to meet the learning needs of all of my students.
By creating a welcoming classroom with visual academic supports and snacks for my growing sixth-grade students, I am setting my students up for success from the very first day of this school year. I have a positive classroom environment in which students' cultures are respected and celebrated that increases each students' level of engagement and interest. I am excited to watch my students grow and learn with the additional comforts and supports provided by this project.
