Spend a day in a room full of 30 kindergartners and you will see the need for a different approach to traditional seating. We've got so much energy, lots of wiggles, and giggles too. Flexible seating in our classroom will give students the power of choice. Giving them comfortable and varied options will be key to making the transition from traditional seating to a flexible classroom. The seating options may seem unconventional but giving them choice comes back to supporting our classroom climate of respect and accountability for our learning. My students and I would be so excited about the different options.
