My kindergarten-2nd-grade music students have had to wait until the few instruments we have reached them, and then finally got a turn to play. This has affected the number of learning activities and lessons taught since it takes time for all the students to have a turn playing the instruments. Having more instruments will provide more time, more lessons and activities, and more joy with music!
My young students will individually and collectively learn about, feel, hear, experience, and appreciate playing rhythms and melodies on percussion and pitched instruments. They will learn to play as a group, apply music principles, perform for others, and gain positive self-esteem in their accomplishments.
