Technology in the classroom helps open the eyes of students to new possibilities and provides them with tools to become savvy with the technology of the future. In my classroom, we practice many new learning methods such as problem-based learning, collaborative learning, programming, and coding. These learning devices can help students work with all of these and make more technology available to two classrooms.
The impact that these devices can have on students and their future is immeasurable. When students have technology in their hands, they become more focused, show academic growth, and have fewer behavior issues. I have been amazed in my experience how quickly students can pick up on new technology and use it to their learning advantage. These will be extremely beneficial when working through math workshop where students can work with different apps such as Flocabulary, with the app Scratch where students can work on coding, and during the problem-based learning activities of SOLE. The cooperation through technology can also be beneficial for young learners with social-emotional learning possibilities.
