Throughout the STEAM design process, students are challenged to think critically about problems in the world around them. Having access to building materials such as Plus Plus blocks, magnetic tiles and straw connectors will allow my students to visually see how they can take their ideas and make them into something tangible.
The ability to build and fix teaches my students how to be innovative with their ideas and that nothing is just set in stone; it can be challenged and made better. The picture books will help my students to have a growth mindset in that things are always changing and that is is possible to make a difference in the world.
