My students need an iPad. Bringing technology into the speech therapy room will help their productivity, social communication and actively engage and motivate my students to target their individual goal at their level. Students will use learning apps that I have already researched. I have found apps that will capture my student’s attention to work towards their goals by helping them read, complete language activities, target articulation, and more! Students will use the iPad in small group instruction, working with peers, and individually. A bonus with working with an iPad, my students will use problem-solving skills as they work with one another and learn responsibility by learning how to use and take care of new technology.
When using the iPad students will be able to use apps created to target articulation, language and pragmatics by receiving direct, positive and constructive feedback for their individual responses.
