The use of technology in order to enhance learning in the classroom is becoming increasingly important. New technology helps push the boundaries of a student's ability while exposing them to new learning styles. As students become more comfortable with the use of technology to keep up with their daily activities, their expectations for its use in the classroom will also rise.
Adding a computer into my classroom will allow my students to be more engaged and give them more opportunities to expand the ways they learn in the classroom. Students will use their own electronic devices to interact with online response programs, such as “Kahoot”, “Quizizz”, and “Socrative”, which will let them learn with a different learning style than I currently have available for them. The second computer will also be used by students for their visual presentations using programs such as PowerPoint.
In the end, I expect my students to be better prepared for the electronic world that we expect them to survive in. They will be able to improve the technological literacy and increase their abilities to find new ways to use technology for enhancing their own studies and research.
