Many of our students face financial difficulties within their family units. Therefore, healthy snacking is often not available for our children to enjoy because of limitations our families face. These healthy options for snacks can help reduce hunger some of our students experience on a daily basis. Our students, being a younger generation, have become known as a snacking generation as a primary means of nutrition verses eating meals at the kitchen table with family. A healthy snack option will allow our students to have the benefit of good nutrition to assist in promoting a healthy lifestyle and avoid hunger.
