Our school offers a computer program called Lexia to our students. It teaches them phonics and sight words to help them be more successful in reading. It also provides this support in their native language! Each student is required to be on the program for about an hour a week. Right now, each teacher only has 9 Chrome Books in their classrooms. At times, it can get difficult getting each child on the Chrome Book for their alotted time with only having 9 Chrome Books. Getting more Chrome Books for my classroom will help assure that each child will be able to put in all their minutes and in turn they will feel more confidant with their reading!
