This room divider will help keep my students focused on their specialized speech or language lesson. I share my room with another speech pathologist, the school psychologist, and interns which creates great resources but can be distracting to my students who all come with various communication difficulties.
For my students with moderate to severe special needs, dividers will help keep them safe and focused in a smaller, less distracting environment. Some of my students constantly want to run to various places around the classroom such the water fountain or even elope out of the door partially because they don’t have the language to express all their wants and needs. In addition, I am able to stick felt on these dividers which will help facilitate engaging book lessons and other visuals for communication growth.
These dividers would greatly help our students which in turn would help my colleagues who share the classroom with me and myself.
