From personal narratives to art accompanying civic action projects, my students need art supplies to bring their stories and ideas to life. I often find myself running out of supplies or borrowing materials from other classrooms just to finish a project. Having all the supplies at their fingertips will help my students fully tap into their creative energy.
For their first project of the year, I ask my students to make a collage that represents their ideal society, versus how they see their society today. With all the necessary supplies, I can start the year off strong and help my students share their voices and visions for the future.
