Employment skills cannot be simply taught through video explanations and worksheets. All students need real-world, practical, hands-on experience to gain the skills necessary for a first-time entry-level position. Students with special needs struggle with abstract thinking and need more concrete examples and practice to learn these skills.
My students have a greater success of obtaining employment if they are equipped with the resources and training now during their transition years of high school. These resources will help my student learn skills not only needed for employment, but in their daily living. My students will take these skills and apply it to their future goals of living independent, productive lives. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
