The books that you are donating to my classroom will be used in a small group setting. I chose chapter books for both fourth and fifth grade. Reading in a small group setting offers more individualized support and greater academic success. Students work in rotation and will read with me during this time. Students will be choral reading in this small setting. Choral reading helps build students' fluency, self-confidence, and motivation. When students read aloud together, some may feel nervous about reading aloud, reading chorally offers the support some students need.
