My students currently have tables arranged in groups and hard plastic chairs. I would love for them to have more freedom to move around the room and work comfortably. I have clipboards, but no rug area and the hard tile floor is uncomfortable. Many students like to sit on my one wobble stool so they can wiggle while they sit. More stools and yoga balls would allow this option for more additional students. I'd also like some cushions, floor seats, and bikes.
My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to work. This flexible seating would allow students to select what type of seating best works for them.
