Research shows that morning exploration and play time helps students get excited about learning, and it allows them to focus more during the day. So, I would like to create a number of STEM exploration and building bins for morning work and center times for my first graders to help assist their learning. By using a variety of STEM materials my students will have hands on time with Science, Technology, Engineering and Math each day. STEM exploration activities can help build critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills. By using these STEM bins each day, my firsties will hopefully also build positive relationships, improve social skills, and behavior issues will be reduced.
