Students love hands-on active learning. This project will introduce them to problems that need to be solved and encourage them to use their ingenuity and imagination to think of ways to solve them.
By reading, thinking, and working together to create something, students will gain a love for learning as well as a reason to improve their reading and math skills. My hope is to inspire students to look at ways they can make something better by trying many different ways to solve a problem.
I am planning on setting up STEM projects for students to do first thing as they enter our room each day. I think this will encourage them to be on time and motivate them to begin their day using skills they know as well as learning new ones.
