The 10 books on the North Carolina Children's Book Award list offer exciting and new literature to the K-2nd grade children. Being in a Title I school. we as educators want to encourage reading growth and nurture reading relationships at an early age. The North Carolina Children's Book Award (NCCBA) is a selected list of newly published children's books sure to get the attention of Kindergartners, 1st graders, and 2nd graders.
By funding this project, you will be giving students the chance to be in comfortable reading nook, give them ten great books to enjoy during story time, and allow students the chance to vote on their favorite book from the list, just like students all across North Carolina! What a wonderful opportunity to give students the chance to be vested in their learning!
