Pre-K students love outdoor time! It is part of the day that they look forward to the most. Providing them with the appropriate materials will allow them to not only have fun while outside, but continue their learning opportunities outside the classroom. Our students will use the Ring Toss game to practice important social skills such as team building, taking turns, and encouraging others. Not to mention the gross motor gains they will make while participating in this activity!
Combining outside time with academic activities creates the perfect learning environment for Pre-K students! The Number Bean Bags will allow students to practice number identification, counting and numeric order as well as throwing at a target, tossing, and catching. The Fun Ball Hops will provide many learning opportunities as we use them for listening games and stop/go games. We will also use these fun tools to practice letter, shape and color identification (hop to the requested letter, shape or color).
All of these materials will helpful in teaching our students gross motor, academic, and social skills. All can be used in many different ways and can be adapted to meet each student at his/her developmental level.
