Having a listening center will give my students the opportunity to independently listen to engaging stories and hear them come to life. Students will have the responsibility of navigating the book on their own while enjoying a story being read to them. The wireless headphones give the students independence and free choice of reading an engaging book where they are comfortable. The listening center will be one of my several stations that the students will rotate each week which will be used everyday. This addition to the classroom will also allow the students to hear more stories throughout the school year building a love and passion for books and reading.
