Percussion is one of the most popular and desired positions in our school band, but with our limited instrument collection, it's very difficult to offer more opportunities to play percussion on stage. Having a xylophone would let our school open up more spots in the percussion section to our awesome students.
Playing a mallet percussion instrument like the xylophone is an amazing experience. A xylophone will let our students perform music with new and exciting textures and sounds while learning important lessons about hand/eye coordination, music theory, self-discipline, and confidence.
School music programs give students the opportunities to play instruments that they otherwise might never be able to afford or keep in their homes. Please, help me give my students an opportunity to play an instrument that they will remember their whole lives.
