The floor makers and hula hoops are crucial to teaching and defining personal space in a movement environment. The mesh bags allow students to keep their dance shoes, materials, and personal items safe and organized so that they can focus on their classwork rather than worry about where their belongings are (many students carry items in plastic grocery bags which can tear and result in items being lost). The dance socks (sole wraps) allow me to accommodate students that are unable to change into dance shoes.
Dance outside of school is often too expensive for my students to participate in. By having a safe and organized classroom, I can provide my students with an equal (if not better) experience as they would have at a typical dance studio.
