Support Ms. O'Brien's classroom with a gift that fosters learning.
My students are in middle school which is a tough time for any student; however, my students are participants in special education and have a harder time focusing in class which can make school even harder. By offering these sensory friendly seating options, students will be able to fidget and move as they learn and complete their assignments.
Showing my students that they can be successful and moderate their own sensory needs will enable them to concentrate and give them the skills and tools to succeed in their later life as well as maximizing their academic achievement. These students will spend a large portion of their English Language Arts classes in my classroom where I reteach, pre-teach, or provide a quiet environment for them to complete their assignments. Many of their classes contain 28-30 students and by having a quieter and more sensory friendly spaces for them to work in will greatly improve their achievement.
