All students deserve an aesthetically pleasing space to relax and read or listen to a good book. Currently, my students do not have a comfortable space with a cozy carpet, flexible seating, and a divider to hide the distractions that often occur in our kindergarten classroom.
My students will benefit from a reading environment that is student-centered. Students will gravitate to the colorful carpet to stretch out with their book of choice. They will also have the option of a cozy floor seat with back support. I know that an inviting reading area will encourage literacy development.
