Microscopes are an important laboratory took in the biology classroom. Getting students to understand what they are looking at is a huge challenger. With a multimedia microscope camera, I can project whatever we are examining onto the smart board and talk my students through slides and lab exercises.
A picture is worth a thousand words. Imagine learning about the phases of the cell cycle and being able to point them on a real cell as they are discussed. Or, presenting a sample of water taken from a local pond and seeing living microorganisms doing their thing. The talking points and visuals will be priceless for a generation of students that live for digital information. In science, seeing is believing.
