Each week, our classroom introduces new letters of the alphabet and new pre-writing skills through play, exploration, and differentiated instruction. We set up several learning centers for students to visit as well as two teacher led small groups to introduce the new letter or fine motor concept. Students explore the centers and work in groups of four or less to have meaningful experiences with the alphabet. Alphabetic knowledge before Kindergarten helps students learn to read faster and with greater ease as they transition to school age programming. My students need supplies to help me differentiate instruction of these skills to apply to all learning styles and abilities in my special education setting. I am the students Intervention Specialist so I am responsible for helping them meet their goals through multi sensory experiences. Help unlock the magic of these foundational skills for all learners and their diverse needs in my preschool special education classroom by purchasing materials and toys that aid all students in accessing the curriculum.
