A new school year has started and I have a fantastic group of Kindergartners! They are ready to learn and are intrinsically motivated to do so. I love to watch them as they are exploring our stations during small group time. Some of their favorite activities are blocks, puzzles, and playing with money.
As these students progress through this year, I will be introducing them to coins and their values. Our school has several online games we use to help our students begin to count and to also start learning the value of money. The goal of this project is to provide my students with a new Chromebook and a wireless mouse. We will include this as part of our stations so we can utilize these counting and money games. As of now, we have an old desktop computer in our station rotation and it very slow to make connections. By the time a student finally has access to it, it is time to rotate. Being the youngest grade, kindergartners are usually last to acquire any technology. Please help my kinders have the joy of counting and learning the value of coins through interactive online games using a classroom Chromebook.
