The tissues I am requesting will be distributed to each of the classrooms on our campus. Without this donation there are no tissues supplied to teachers by the district. If teacher don't supply their own then students don't have them quickly available when they need one to cover a cough or sneeze, blow their nose, stop a nose bleed, or to cover cuts or scratches that might be bleeding.
We are constantly promoting good health habits to help control or prevent the spread of germs that cause illness.
We all know that if kids aren't healthy, it is harder for them to focus, engage, and participate in learning. It is important for them to know how to respond to and self manage basic hygiene needs. When fewer germs get spread around, the entire class benefits. Tissues are a necessary tool to achieve that goal.
