I teach preschool in a self-contained classroom on an elementary school site. My students are ages 3-5 years old with a wide range of special needs. I teach 2 sessions a day of up to a total of 24 students. My AM session is for my students with cognitive, speech, and mobility needs. The PM session is for my students with speech and language needs.
Early childhood education provides a foundation for students to grow and thrive to their full potential.
These students have so much potential and joy, they are what bring me to work everyday. Their enthusiasm for learning gives me the drive to provide them with the skills and tools they need.
They make progress everyday they come to school. Even if it is not noticeable at the time, progress is being made. Their faces light up when they learn new skills or concepts which makes the classroom such an amazing place to be daily.
