The whole purpose of my project is to rebuild my classroom library to get books into my students' hands. Many of my students do not have a wide variety of reading materials in their homes because it is a low income school. The school itself does not have a library and many books in the school are outdated. I myself am an avid reader and would love to instill this in my students.
I feel that if students are exposed to books in a series they will continue to read the author's books. Students at this age are reluctant readers and they need to find an author or genre that will pique their interest.
