I want to give these friends everything but resources have already run out. I have essentials but noticed I sorely need several books and building blocks. The specific books I listed are recommended by my teaching certification program, and will draw our friends’ interest to reading when they see characters they identify with. Beginning STEM right now will also encourage interest in the Sciences and Math that will guide them through their school career, and make a significant difference in their success as students and fellow thinkers in this world we live in. It is essential to plant these seeds now and affirm their competence and confidence NOW as I lay this foundation for learning this year.
