Resources are very limited in our school. Student computers are scarce, as are computers for staff. Students are currently able to access computers once a day for a short period. We have to leave our classroom to go to the computer lab, which is difficult for both students and teachers due to mobility difficulties and challenges. The Chrome books will allow us to provide a math center within the existing classroom. I envision a math center where the students will be able to access computers several times per day to work on projects that meet their individualized needs and abilities. The Chromebooks have the potential to dramatically impact the lives of special education students. There are typically 10 students with special needs in our classroom, and they range from kindergarten to 5th grade.
