My students love to build with magnetic tiles, Legos, and large wooden blocks. Fort-building will engage my student's creative sides, providing them an opportunity to build and use their imagination to come up with new designs and ideas. Students will work together to construct a magical fort while building on their language and social skills!
My students love reading books that they can related to, especially social stories. "These books will help children build social and emotional intelligence through shared reading and engaging texts that prompt discussions about real-world, everyday experiences." SEL books will be available in our calm down area when children need time to manage their big emotions.
