The students will use the objects (Alphabet Sounds Teaching Tubs) to help lock-in the 44 sounds of the English language. The objects provide a multi-sensory way for students to connect to the sounds through touch. By being able to touch the objects and feel them, the student creates a stronger connection in their brain between the object and the letter and sound it represents. For example, if a student is struggling with identifying the letter 鈥渁,鈥 I could show them an apple that they could touch and feel. This would help them to recall that the letter they are trying to identity is the letter 鈥渁.鈥
