A lot of my students are starting school for the first time this year. The art classroom has been a fun 50 minute break between their academic filled day. My students are creative and enjoy painting and drawing. The two Visual Arts standards 1)Creating: Conceiving and developing new artistic ideas (VA:Cr1.2.1) and work as well as 2.) Connecting: Relating artistic ideas and work with personal meaning and external context (VA:Cn10.2.1), come into play as my students imagine, think, and create imaginative designs and pictures. These quality materials will allow their ideas to become their personal work of art.
