These materials will help the students learn that their disability does not define them and that they are able to do anything they set their mind to. The materials that were selected might look like toys, but they are tools to help these students understand and help navigate their world. Helping fill the classroom with these materials will help in the areas such as fine and gross motor, social/emotional development, academic development, and self help skills. All children deserve to have a classroom where they can grow and learn in the best way possible.
