My goal is to inspire and challenge my students, so they can perform to their highest learning potential with confidence, rigor, and inspiration. Manipulatives and items such as these promote inquiry and real-life learning for students to become well-rounded and relevant learners within their academic life and their lives outside of school.
My goal is to promote inquiry-based learning that is grounded in real-life applications and contexts. When students see the real-life aspects to what they are learning and are engaged in the inquiry-based learning (within reading, math, and science) presented to them, they begin to ask their own questions, investigate multiple sources of information for a purpose, think critically to make sense of information they've found, and establish and communicate their findings in new, unique, and creative ways.
Likewise, students' learning goes beyond the core subjects. This meaning that the learning in the classroom should be malleable to all aspects of the students' lives. The community that has grown within the walls of our school promotes the equity, growth, and excellence for all. Our vision is grounded within the mindset that our students will leave our school as well-rounded individuals in all contexts of their learning.
