These binders will help to organize my students' writing journals. Also, they have never had a functioning pencil sharpener nor stapler in the classroom. Students have always had to leave the room to borrow from another teacher. Having organization and supplies on hand helps to create a smoothly run learning environment. The chart paper and post its will be used for carousel activities which get students up for collaborative activities. Some are allergic to chalk dust, in need of a dry erase board vs. a chalk board. I give students a journal writing activity at the beginning of every class. I also may give my students a novel to read. I have them answer multiple text dependent questions, daily.
