At Roosevelt, we have a garden where we grow different fruits, vegetables, and plants. Teachers across grade levels use the garden to support different STEM learning and projects within their classrooms. Over the past several years, I have gathered wheelbarrows, shovels, gloves, soil, seeds, and other gardening tools. They are all stored in various places around campus, different cabinets, hallways, and classrooms.
A shed would provide a cohesive place for all of the gardening tools to be stored. During lessons, I would love to have all of the materials in one place and not have to disrupt other teachers in order to get the supplies I need to conduct my lessons. It would help my lessons flow better, make the garden club more meaningful, and enhance the school environment.
