Math is THE subject that can open many doors to the future. My students will be embarking on their first year of an IB math class. At the end of year two, students will be expected to take a comprehensive exam and the graphing calculator is an integral part of the assessment. Furthermore, this assessment will give students the opportunity to earn college credit. Students who have not had experience with or do not have a graphing will have a serious disadvantage. The graphing calculator allows math to become a visual experience often reaching those who have checked out on math!

About my class
