In kindergarten, students learn letters and sounds and put them together in order to read simple words and sentences. But in first grade, students start reading longer sentences, paragraphs, and even books!!
My students spend a lot of time in our classroom library. As they strengthen their ability to read, they start craving more and new books! My students will spend 15+ minutes a day independently reading. They often get bored of the books I currently have, and are asking for more!
These books will greatly expand our classroom library and give students access to a greater selection of books.
