Most of us remember learning to play the recorder as our first instrument. The recorder is a great way to set a foundation in music reading, but what if there was a way to simultaneously teach students to read music AND play piano? This is where the melodica comes in!
The melodica opens pathways to teaching so many more concepts that just are not possible on the recorder. With the melodica, students can be taught to understand the note locations on the piano, how to understand chords, intervals, and it is a fabulous visual and tactile aid when teaching music theory.
