Every year I have between 20 to 30 third grade students. Research shows that if students are not reading at grade level by the end of third grade, the statistics are against them. Providing a space for them all to sit on the floor can be tricky. My students do well when they have an assigned comfortable place to sit when I am providing a well-planned mini-lesson at the easel. This rug will provide a comfortable and organized place for my students to sit and be engaged in their learning. An organized and calm place to learn benefits everyone in the classroom.
