Our school is an older school and was built with a small, awkwardly shaped lunchroom. Our school is also located in a low socioeconomic area and qualifies for free breakfast, lunch, and supper for all students.
Trying to fit all of our students in our lunchroom to eat is a difficult task, so some of our students can choose to eat outside in the grass or on the blacktop. However, we do not have any benches or tables outside for them to sit on. Dropped food on the ground is not as easy to recover as dropped food on a table.
With this project, we would be able to have a couple of tables outside for our overflow of students to sit on while they eat their breakfast and lunch.
