I have been a speech/language pathologist for 15 years and I have found that games are a great way to motivate students to practice something that is not always inherently fun. Kids look forward to speech and language sessions and work harder without even knowing they are doing work when I am able to provide fun and motivating ways for them to practice their speech and language skills. Games are also a great way to teach hidden concepts such as social skills, turn taking, how to be a good winner as well as a good looser. Help me provide some motivation to my preschool and 4th and 5th grade students by funding my Games Galore project!
