Students will be assigned an element in which they have to do research on. They will then transform the element into a super hero, complete with the "super powers" (aka properties) that the element has. Each element will come to life on a display poster, which will be presented to the class.
By giving students creative control to design their super hero element they will proudly display their findings, which will give other students something to relate to that element when time to recall the properties during an assessment. This assignment allows students to be creative and inquisitive as they navigate their way around the periodic table!
