I work with the OCS students at my high school. OCS stands for Occupational Course of Study. The OCS students have mental disabilities, such as autism and dyslexia, which makes it a challenge for them to be in regular environments. We strive to teach them important life skills so they can succeed in the future. One of our most successful programs is our Job Site Experiences. We send students off campus to various community businesses, such as Walgreens and Pizza Hut, where they gain work experience and learn valuable skills.
Help us give our OCS students materials to make badges to go to off site locations in the community, and portfolios to document their experiences. The lamination machine will be used to create the badges. The folders, cardstock, colored pencils, and markers will be used to create the portfolios.
We appreciate your help in supporting our special students!
