These books will help fill my classroom library with endless empathy building skills. Some books will be used for students to read independently, while others I will use as mentor texts for whole-class lessons. After reading as a whole group, students will work with partners to engage in group activities. Others may simply read on their own or share with a partner. We will also use these books as exemplars, having students act out/model the skills learned to the class. Students could also model these lessons to other classes as well.
From these books, students will have fun learning to show empathy, acceptance, and kindness through literature.
